| A crown or cap is usually a porcelain or porcelain/metal jacket which fits over a tooth to encase and protect the tooth on which they are cemented.

Benefits
- Strengthen teeth and improve function
- Rebuild broken, decayed, cracked and worn teeth
- Improve the cosmetic appearance of teeth using shape, colour & alignment
- Protect teeth which are weakened and prone to breaking
Procedure
The procedure takes 2 visits (sometimes 3 for multiple crowns) At the first visit the teeth are prepared and sometimes a filling material is added to optimize the shape. Impressions of the prepared teeth are taken and sent upstairs to the Omega laboratory where the crown will be made. You will visit the laboratory and meet the dental technician to enable the technician to see your teeth and accurately colour match the porcelain crowns. Temporary crowns are made to protect your teeth whilst the porcelain crowns are made. At the second visit the temporary crowns are removed and the handcrafted porcelain crowns are permanently cemented in to place.
